Admission Checklist

SUBMISSION NOTES

  • Individual documents may be submitted separately
  • Applications may be faxed if processing fee is paid by credit card and must be followed by sending the original to the Norman office
  • All other documentation may be E-mailed to the Norman office

 

Following is a list of materials required for application to the Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership:

  • A University of Oklahoma application to Advanced Programs. (Please list all previous names used.) Click here for the application or see your Site Director. Please note that the major code for the Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership is 4999R.

  • A $75 processing fee please make check payable to The University of Oklahoma (includes application fee and is non-refundable).

  • 3-5 page statement of personal goals and aspirations to include but not limited to:

    • career goals
    • academic goals
    • life and work experience
    • ability to work in groups in an intensive academic environment.
  •  

  • Example of scholarly work such as a research paper, project or article submitted for class conference or journal.

  • Articulation of research interest in a 2 page statement that includes, with as much specificity as possible, research you are considering for your dissertation.

  • Official transcripts showing both graduate and undergraduate work (please ensure all previously used names are listed on application).

  • A minimum of 3 letters of recommendation (to include both academic and professional references) may be faxed to (405) 325-3335, Attn: Tina McLerran. Recommendation letters may be addressed to the "Ph.D. Committee Chair" or may be E-mailed to tmclerran@ou.edu.
