Military Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance may be available through a student’s military service or employer. OU site representatives will work with students on an individual basis to ensure the proper procedures are followed.
Army Tuition Assistance
- Apply to the University of Oklahoma
- Log in to GoArmyEd.com and complete the “Required In-Processing Steps”
- Research College Program Options
- Research Course Schedule
- Initiate and Submit GoArmyEd Common Application for Admission to Home College
- Complete Soldier Quick Start Training
- Complete Statement of Understanding
- E-6 and below – your commander’s signature is required
- E-7 and above – your signature is required
- Meet with an Education Counselor at their local Army Education Center
- Submit your Statement of Understanding
- Activate your GoArmyEd Account
- Answer any Army TA questions
- Enroll in courses through GoArmyEd
Air Force Tuition Assistance
- Apply to the University of Oklahoma
- Provide a degree plan to your local Education Center
- Log in to the Air Force Portal at www.my.af.mil (you must create a username and password)
- Complete the Distance Learning application for Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC)
- Enroll in courses through enroll.ou.edu
- Apply for TA on the Air Force Portal at www.my.af.mil
- Click on Air Force Virtual Education Center
- Click on My Education Record (make sure your E-mail address is filled in)
- Click on Apply for TA
- Complete the required information
- Once the Education Center approves your TA, you will receive an E-mail.
- E-mail a copy of the TA form to your Site Director or print a copy and bring it the first day of class
Marine Corps Tuition Assistance
- First-time students must complete a TA Orientation Class prior to using TA
- Go to www.usmc-mccs.org/education
- Click on Lifelong Learning Programs
- Click on Military Tuition Assistance (TA)
- Click on TA Orientation
- Marines must apply for and receive
- Complete Tuition Assistance Application (link at bottom of Military Tuition Assistance page above)
- Submit your application to Camp Pendleton’s Lifelong Learning Center prior to the start of the term you wish to enter
- Apply to the University of Oklahoma
- Once TA is approved, students must submit a degree plan before exceeding 12 credit hours
- Enroll in courses through enroll.ou.edu
